We do not have enough information about the Fer situation . I hope its not serious and we are still able to sign this player as he looks a very good prospect . But if there is doubt about his long term fitness I think BK is right to try to get a better deal for the club!
We never have a great deal of cash & I would hate to see it wasted on another players that spends half the season out injured ( even if he is a great player for the other half )

Reports that Leroy Fer has returned to Holland, while the clubs continue negotiations......

Phil McNulty reporting: Everton ready to explore other options if Leroy Fer deal falls down - and currently no sign of a resolution to hold-up over the deal

its funny how we go on about not wanting injury prone players who are goin to miss a lot of games, yet we all loved big dunc who was as injury prone as any player we have had in recent times :) and as for medicals its a good job they wernt so thorough a few years ago as i remember a certain peter reid had a lot of inuries before he joined us, what chance would he have of signing for us these days , i doubt he would get through a medical :)) and i mean in his playing days i know hes to old now, sometimes you just got to take a risk, demba ba got fooked off by stoke and i not seen him missing to many games and chelsea were happy to take him :))

How can no one have known about his injuries? Shouldn't the front office have done some research before wasting everybody's time? Or is this just a public coup to try to jew them down on the asking price?

don't think for one minute the club did not know his history of injuries, think it's more that the medical wasn't as conclusive as you'd want, hence further conditions.

It would be business suicide to press ahead with a deal, without further 'insurance' against the player breaking down.

It's the right thing to do, may not make the club popular, but what's the point in having a medical and then ignoring the findings.  It'd be like paying for an inspection on a car, having 'potential' problems identified but just buying it anyway - it's nuts, you wouldn't do that with your own money  ; )

If Fer doesn't come in I think we'd all like a decent striker. No one springs to mind that could be a realistic target though!
