IF the Fer deal is off.....

    I agree, but this lad seems like a very good player and I would like this deal to happen if possible. I hope we don't spend too much time on trying to sign him though if we are just chasing shadows...We need to find out what the situation is ASAP, and if it becomes clear this deal isn't going to happen, we should go for someone else.

    I fully understand where you're coming from mate, but having announced the deal, BK will not escape this one intact. If this goes ***s up then Tony can have free reign on the board for as long as they're there afaic. It may not be a biggie in the grand scheme of things but it's no small matter either.

    So we can just replace a player none of us had heard of yesterday, with a player none of us have heard of today....

    Kinda had already grown attached to fer though....i mean it was brief, but it felt like there was a real connection there.. 8->

    Aww **** happens....yesterday we were getting lauded for keeping our business under wraps and now with this hiccup which nay not lead to us not signing Fer and he's the worst in the world.....

    Could be worse...could be another Muller.

    he;s played 29 club games in the last season and a half (2011/2012-2012/2013 seasons)


    is that enough?

    he has played u21 and senior level for country aswell in that time

    It never was gonna happen. We will now get someone on loan as time will run out and then the money will dissapear. I hope I'm wrong and we go for Belhanda or someone.

    Sounds like a good idea that NSNO but would Twente go for it knowing that if his knee does go they wont get anything for him

    Its not like you can just make up a pre existing knee condition..... do you think Leroy or Twente want very public questions asked about their asset or livelihood?

    It is potentially a lot of money and lets be fair, we've got Mirallas who is struggling... we were just lucky to off load AJ for good money after his ankle went (he was just never the same player again either)... we never got Rodwell back to fitness for any meaningful length of time. And there have been plenty of other cases.

    I'm not saying we are bloody awful at getting injuries right.... but lets not mess, about we don't really want to give our physios any more encouragement.

    yeah if there's any doubt at all over this deal, then we really need to walk away from it now & try get someone else.....£8m is too much money for us to gamble with.....

    I'd quite happily not get anyone else this window if it meant saving £8m on someone who is just going to keep Mirallas and Gibson company....

    yep...and i'm sure Moyes has other players he would like too, so maybe another deal can be done before the window closes...hope we don't waste too much time on Fer if he's not gonna be signing.....

    I was confident of getting 1 or 2 more players in if we got Fer in the bag yesterday or early today. 2 or 3 new players altogether would have been a huge boost. Now I'd be relieved just to get one!

    No point in spending 8 million on someone who will only play for half a season like Gibson and Mirallas.
