why has it taken till the end of the window to sign him,? if hes been on Moyes radar for a while surely its better to get them in early?

nonsense.  Hitzlsperger still adds needed depth to our midfield with the injury of Gibson.  It was smart to renew his contract regardless of the signing of Fer.

"I was told about Everton's interest the day before they played Southampton [last Monday]," said Fer. "I watched the game the day after and I saw the potential in the group. I have looked at the players in the squad and love the way they play.

"Everton are in the top five and have a real chance of playing in Europe next season. From when I was a young boy, I always wanted to play in the Premier League. The fact I am going to do it with one of the biggest teams in the Premier League makes this move even more special."

To be honest this thread lasted 9 or 10 posts, that's better than average.

Does anyone know of a sensible EFC site where people want to talk about football rather than slag off the team or the manager or show off their mastery of schoolboy "humour"?

There are a few people on here that talk football, but if you're sincere in your wish to seek out pastures new, surely you'd be better off just finding a new forum, rather than insult people.

    Good luck.

That's what I asked. Is there one?
If you think my comment is insulting have another read of the dilaogue above and I defy you to deny it's puerility.
No insult there my friend, simply the facts.

I'm sure a man of such standards is capable of locating more than one Everton forum on Google.

GOT is worth a look.....much bigger & (cough) a bit more structured as far as categories/topics of discussion.

Toffeeweb is another - I know some Evertonians who like that.

Case of shopping around really to see what fits.

That's why I like it here. You can talk football but still be a jackass and have fun. However, I've never been on another Everton forum. This one isn't very popular it seems.
