In UK the away fans are generally sat in the shabbiest stand... and away team have to contend with uncomfortable dressing rooms... then... there's the atmosphere... which you won't really get an idea of until you go the game... a hostile home crowd can really make a difference with the abuse the opposition receive and the encouragement the home team gets...

I understand there is a designated away section, but it seems like people frown upon sitting with the other teams fans. Here, in america, I have to deal with fans of other teams near me or when I travel and I'm an away fan. There's definitely banter going on among us and other fans, but that's part of it. Will another team's fans seriously cut ya or something?
