    I myself have 2 cats, but would like kids sometime. I need to quit being a selfish ****. :-))

    I may seem stupid for saying this...but why not just take the kids to the games or watch it with them? Teach them the love of the blues or college football when they are young. If your wife says anything remind her that you are having Daddy bonding time and you'll spend it however you want! Then, when she makes you sleep on the sofa for talking back you have no excuse not to camp out on the sofa with a beer and chips and watch even more footy.
