Not Wanting Kids Is Normal

    Interesting article.

    And hard to judge people who probably had the best of intentions but it's a hell of a wake-up call having a baby. Your self and your life has to go out of the window. Male or female.

    You only have to watch Supernanny (where did that come from?!!) to see how many parents struggle with bringing up kids, rich or poor, intelligent or otherwise. It's enough to put anyone off!

    There's no manual. Only your own parents. For some that's good, for others not so.

    Maybe the article is correct in saying that more people should just admit to themselves that it's not for them. And others should not even consider it at all. It's no longer 'unnatural' to not want kids, as it once was.

    It can only be a good thing if more people are thinking more seriously about it.

    also hate these people who have kids..then go back to work as they are "career women" tehn moan about the cost of child minding...

    Kids are needy, smelly, stupid, drain your energy, in need of constant attention, suck your wallet dry for the rest of your life.....

    The lads who've said they're too selfish... they're actually really smart for thinking about it like that... I wouldn't ever have classed myself as selfish... but four months into fartherhood I can genuinely attest to fact that you really do have to drop everything at times... and if you didn't think about it beforehand and only realised afterwards... then I can see how people could end up regretting it... not me though.. she's ace... and I wouldn't change her for the world!!!

    But I'd rather not spend the rest of my life looking after a kid.... I like to do what I want, when I want.... Not having no kid stopping me do anything.

    I've been saying I would like kids for a few years now, still don't have them. And yes, I am far too selfish with watching/attending sports events for kids. My wife reminds me of this everytime I mention it.
