Not up to hazard to get the ball back. Ref should have gone over and retrieved the ball and told the ballboy to go away and added 5 mind time as a punishment to swansea for employing little tw @ts.

This incident suggests to me that the game has wandered too far off track.

Yes, its best if you don't kick kids or put yourself in a position where it looks like you are. Pamper overpaid footballer in a hurry to get on with the game, feeling the pressure of going out of the cup, goes OTT and does something distasteful. Par for the course, sadly.

But when a ball boy not only gets involved in overt time wasting gamesmanship as if he's playing in the match... but also goes on to feign injury, rolls around on the floor and then appears to gesture to the referee for a decision (which he actually gets!).... you have to think that this kid has learnt an awful lot of bad behaviour... and from where?

Listening to Pat Nevin this morning was mental....apparently, the likes of Suarez diving and play acting isn't the problem... he thinks ball boys should be banned and impartial match assistants should now be brought in. He even mentioned a fake claim of racism against a player by a ball boy.... I wonder which Chelsea player they got that idea from?

I generally think Pat Nevin is a decent sort and is one of the more reasoned and responsible in the game. But for him to take that stance on this subject kind of gives an insight into how rotten it all is currently.

This is worth a read for an insight into to the kid, son of a club director who tweeted before the game he'd be time wasting. I am not saying Hazard is justified in what he did, personally i say 6 match ban for violent conduct, but it was premeditated by the lad and will now be easier to sweep under the carpet

According to one of the rags, the ball boy in question was boasting on his Twitface site, before the match, about how he was going to waste time.

Fine Swansea, ban the oik from all football grounds and rescind Hazard's red card.

Hazard's red card has to stand because what he did was wrong, but there must be some sanctions against Swansea for using someone (and apparently encouraging them) to be a complete pain in the @rse.

Well, again it just shows you how thoroughly endemic cheating is in the game. Son of a director, brought back well past his ball boy age especially to waste time... even bragging about it.

To be fair, the decision to say sorry from the ball boy and not to press charges did seem to come a little too quickly didn't it!

Bet he didn't think he'd get such a kick out of being a ballboy when he first took it up...

He was taking too long over it, so Hazard was trying to kick her out from under him.
