what do you think veg is made up of?

    -----------------

Did you really just say that? To get the same amount of calories from veg as from meat you'd have to eat roughly 10-20 times the amount. Veg is extremely low in fat (so much so that it's almost negligible).

You actually burn alot of fat doing weights

    -----------------

You burn next to no fat doing weights. Nowhere near the amount you'd burn doing solely cardio. Every time I see someone clearly trying to lose weight at the gym benching I die a little inside.

you said eat fewer protein carbs and fat... eat more veg... it is appear you don't know that veg is made up of one or a combination of all of those things...

i didnt make any comparison between the relative calorific values of meats and veg... that my friend is an invention of your mind...

Hes right in that intense cardio burns fat

Hes wrong on the effects of using weights
For starters weights are used in alot of cardio regimes now with great results.

But even if you solely do high intense weight training you burn alot more fat than people think.
You do regimes that include deadlifts , squats , rows etc you burn alot of calories,
And its been proven you burn alot during rest from weight training sessions.

Id recommend both if you want the six pack like.

cardio doesn't burn fat.  weights don't burn fat.  a calorie deficit burns fat.  you can create a calorie deficit by combining diet with cardio or diet with weights. it doesn't matter which one.  or you can combine diet, cardio and weights to create a defecit

having said that though if you had to choose either cardio or weights when trying to lose fat then weights is the better option.  this is because lifting weights increases motabolism faster and for longer than cardio.  plus lifting weights preserves muscle tissue which means that ongoing weight loss remains possible

personally i think it depends on the person, myself i could run for 45-50 minutes and get through 6-7miles and it would do less for me than if i did 2-3 miles in about 18-19 minutes then some high intensity cycling for 15 minutes, OR, doing half an hour of circuits, sprints, squat thrusts, burpees etc.

we are all individual at the end of the day..

SEX. The more sex you have, the better you will feel about yourself, the

healthier you will want to eat, and then things just come natural with
    out having to force it.

You guys have given me a lot of info. I had just heard lots of conflicting stuff about whet powder. A physical therapist told me  it had lots of health benefits due to the vitamins and minerals as well as the protein. Someone else said that eating the whey powder would give me added energy to burn calories and keep going when I am burnt out and tired.

I still prefer to do cardio and lift a few weights in moderation only to keep my muscles strong.

I just have noticed when I drink a small protein shake I get a much needed boost of energy and don't feel so rundown.
