i believe everton are only 1 player away from having a squad capable of establishing itself in the top 6.

                     howard
    coleman    jags     distin  baines
    (neville) (hietinga) (duffy) (oviedo)

                     osman   felliani    pienaar
    (coleman) (barkley) (gibson) (oviedo)

                          mirallas
                         (naismith)

                           jelavic

that's a good starting line up plus quality cover for every position on the field except for jelavic and howard.  we need a top class right winger but we don't have any funds to spend.  as far as im concerned we don't need anichebe, gueye, vellios etc..... not even in the squad, we've got enough cover without them and i simply don't beleive these players are good enough for everton.  sell them now or in the summer and buy a right sided player and we could have european football back at everton every season

I have no doubt that our manager has a plan for the second half of the season. Hopefully one or two useful acquisitions are in the offing. We probably could move on one or two fringe players. They are not progressing to the degree expected in the Premiership.

I don't think it is necessary. But they are not consistenly good when you depend on them.one of them was found out against Liverpool at wembley. I wish Joe Royle was nineteen again.

The original post does not show a spare centre forward. This would be Anichebe, surely? Are we not already established in the top six?

yes but like i said the plan is to sell him thats why i didnt include him

are we not established in the top 6 ?  well when was the last time we finished in the top 6 ?  we haven't finished top 6 or played in europe since 2009 correct me if im wrong.  so no we definately are not established in the top 6.  and we might not even finish there this season either.

top 4 this season is utd, city, chelsea, spurs.  then you've got everton, arsenal and liverpool competing for 5th and 6th.  one team has got to miss out and it could be us especially if we continue playing naismith or anichebe on the right wing and not signing anybody else

Anichebe may look a bit out of his depth sometimes but hes lookin better than he was n has scored a few n vellios aint had much of a go this season but must have a better goals/mins played ratio than anyone else in the squad i reckon(albeit not that many). Not as bothered bout the other 2, would have rather held on to Baxter.
