My money is on WH smiths to go soon. What do they offer that you can't get on the internet at a cheaper rate? The price of food is just a joke. Perhaps they can only survive as they are a bit of a monopoly at train stations and airports but other than that I can see them going under sometime soon.

I want all the mobile phone shops to close down. And f'kin TK (Jumble Sale) Maxx. Oh and Sports Direct and JD, Argos, M&S, LAura F'king Ashley, Monsoon, and Next, if I can only choose one please let it be Next.

Just to annoy those pseudo middle classpricks who think they are sound cos they bought a suit in the sale.

I thunked a few years ago.

    Whats the point of t'internet?

If we never had it,all the peodo's would not be so prevelant.(proven that introduction & easy access contributes to increased participation in everything)let alone all the other 'sick' stuff that goes on & is easily spread around the globe.

Now,to top it all,we find that people are revelling in the fact that 1000's are losing jobs on the back of failing high street sales.

    Where does it stop?

Soon,no one will have a job to buy off the robot, who's selling the stuff & the robot will be signing on.

10,000 jobs gone in a week.

    Hilarious,that.

Surely people will  be spending less though with less sight of goods on sale to be purchased? Surely this will be bad for our economy and it makes you wonder, if everyone starts buying everything online from abroad (perhaps that may be cheaper than buying here in a few years time) how is GDP going to grow?

Imagine,Liverpool 1 was occupied by every retailer on OGV's list.

Then imagine how it would effect our mates, brothers, sisters, partners who work in retail.

Add up all the redundant, poor souls & then, only then, can we fully appreciate what kind of cack the economy is in.

I haven't got any mates or family in retail. I wouldn't go to Liverpool 1 if you paid me.

Its a sad state of affairs but to be fair if you went into Comet or somewhere like that you just get endless lies just trying to flog you whatever was most expensive so they upped their commission.
I buy most of my stuff of the net simply because its cheaper.. Something has to be done about the way import tax etc is bypassed by the likes of Amazon.. Lets at least give English internet companies a chance to compete in this country.

are there any english internet companies? our g'ment will allow these overseas companies exploit tax laws to produce a situation in which the high street can't compete and there arent, so far as I am aware, many UK based net retailers who are in a position to compete because the same tax laws would catch them (as the high street)...
