    Neville has been told to take up Gibson's role. What Gibson does is dictate the play. When he's playing, he's in charge. He plays the passes that lead to chances. He controls the tempo of the game. If it's going to fast, he'll slow it down, and vice versa.

    Neville is trying to emulate that but failing. The steal of Coleman was him essentially trying to be Gibson. It's not his speciality and I don't blame him for that; it's probably the hardest job in football. Only a handful of players can do it well (Gibson being one of them but he's always f*cking injured).

    gibson would have enough brains as midfielder to read the situation with coleman and get the fk out of the way

    Yeah he would, but Neville doesn't, and I forgive him for that. It's not his fault he's played in that position.

    OGV my perception is that it is dangerous to criticize certain important people on a forum - you end up drawing a lot of flack from loyal supporters - and that scares some people so the easy way out is to ignore it -
    i believe nobody is above criticism as long as it is substantiated - do not just say person A is wrong or he talks **** - tell me why you say so - everybody is entitled to their own opinion - that is exactly what this forum is there for - it would be very boring if we all just out of politeness areed with each other -
    ps Dick if you forgive Neville who is to blame ? - because death always have a cause
