a little vague isn't it. Sounds like lazy journalism and the guy who wrote it is just fishing around for some one to dig a litle further than what he is capable of doing to actually find out if there is one.

My second point would be, how many daft gits will now go out and buy the daily mail just to read that one tiny article? my suggestion would be plenty......

BBC gossip has it down as being in the Times...

Sell him! With £22mil Moyes could buy a new 11.

could be if there is only one bidder.....a minimum fee we have to take.

Nobody is gonna bid more than what the club have to take!

Any bidding war would then be between prospective buyers on Fellaini's wages and how they sell their club to him in other ways.

exactly all clubs will offer 22 million and then its who is the best option for felliani in regards wages and if there in champs league, stupid to have buyout clause but as said maybe he wouldnt sign a deal without one and we would be looking at selling him now for a low price

So the 'or more' part of the clause being reported is rubbish then.

If that is rubbish.....what else is.

The point I'm making is that I feel the whole report is rubbish.

Yet you both seem keen to bash the club with the 22million pound figure.....while laughing that the 'or more' part of the clause mentioned in the article.

That is my point.... nothing more.

well how come moyes was fast to rubish the reports of readings bid for anichebe yet hasnt come out and rubished the felliani story, we will see today if moyes remains silent on the subject if asked

I'm going to take a wild stab in the dark and say.....because the reporter asked him on camera about readings interest in victor anichebe.

Moyes has not had a habit to date of answering every bit of gossip printed about the club and its players.

I'll take another wild stab in the dark and guess that when Fellaini does go....it will be for more than 22 million.

The story also said if its a bid from a champions league club - which Chelsea are not. So the clause wouldn't be activated by a bid from them (this month at least) if that stipulation exists in the clause.

    And who's bashing the club?

im not bashing the club just like everyone else relaying stories/gossip re transfers, but yes our board are stupid enough to put a clause in like that :))

    ladies ladies ladies...

an activation clause doesn't mean you have to sell the player it basically means that the offer can be no less than the amount stated...and if such an offer comes in we have to make the player aware of it.

so if someone comes in for fellaini and there is a clause that exists..they offer £22million we ask the player if he wants to go..if he says yes, then we can actually demand £30million if we wish...there's nothing to stop us doing that and nothing to stop us not selling either...unlikely..but FACT !!

the article says 22 or more.....the 'or more' exists for a reason. If Everton made it clear to interested parties (of which we are lead to believe there are many) that they had a bid of 22 they were considering, if someone bid 26 what would stop us from accepting that bid and letting the player speak to that club first.

The point is, if a CL club comes in for that amount of money and no one else does then he can still get the move he wants.

I see it as more of a minimum price to be honest.

But..... if you are going to believe what you read in the papers.....the you should believe all of the story....not just the bit you don't like the look of.

Personally I think its all bollox...but if it is as you say it is....then why would the words "or more" exist in the players contract?

    -----------------

It's a minimum release clause, if a club activates it they are allowed to talk to the player and the club has no say. They don't have to offer a penny over and what numpty would. A release clause is to get a player to sign a contract and commit to a club but allowing him to leave should the right club come in for him. I hope it ain't true he's worth 35.

I know what a release clause is...but the article suggests something else. I was just questioning why people would believe part of the article and not the rest.

I repeat, for me I believe it all to be ****.

    mmmmk thanks.

Moyes knows that he can keep Fellaini another few years and still at the same price so I can't see him going unless he starts head butting people on purpose come a transfer window.

Keep him key player and won't lose his value

the buy out is 7 mil more than we paid (according to media).so was Ba's.

Barcodes didn't get more than 7 mil nor will we get more than buy out figure,i believe,25 mil.

He knew, when signing contract, that a clause of 35 mil would of made clubs baulk. He always new he would leave.

They don't have agents for now't.

He's a clever so n so Felli, coz he said he'd stay for the remainder of his contract if Everton wanted to keep him..........
