    Dani Alves (Barcelona) , Gerard Pique (Barcelona), Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid) , Marcelo (Real Madrid);
    Xabi Alonso (Real Madrid), Xavi (Barcelona), Andres Iniesta (Barcelona); Lionel Messi (Barcelona),

    Serious bias aside , has there been a more consistent left back than Baines ?

    i honestly don't think there has but the team is picked by the French FA, they are not too likely to look at the English league in too much detail never mind at our little team that can!

    That said i did read a report by a french jorno who was liking Baines for PSG so there must be attention around Europe for him.

    its no surprise really, lets face it most of the best players are in the spanish league, the 2 best players in the world at the moment are in the spanish league, and spain are making everyone else look like amateurs in the national game aswell..no other country has been able to compete with them for the last 5 years..they are streets ahead of everone else..sad but true!! :-(
