My suggestion would be, play with, or at least talk to a professional and or an ex professional footballer, and i would imagine that given 10-15 minutes talkign to one (granted not all) they will give you an insight into how much more they do know or need to know to even cut it at a lowly professional level, lets say league 1 for example. -

i have been around pro players by the nature of the college and club teams i played for but that did not convince me that the reason i didnt make it was that they were genius and i was a mong ... (by the way before you say it, i know im not good enough to play professionally and this isnt me being bitter)

In all seriousness though, two of the three players I'd hoped we'd sign are likely going elsewhere. Holtby to Tottenhem and Forren to Fulham. -
