We're not going to get anyone permanently. We'll get one loan signing. Forren will go to Fulham. Butland won't sign for us.

    January is the sh*ttest month.

well i feel as if  they are scouts first and foremost because they played at a certain level and have a name recognizable to the organization they are representing but not that the playing of football at that level gives you a certain set of characteristics unknown or realized by the regular man and i guess by regular man i mean someone like me who although didnt get anywhere near pro soccer played at a reasonable level compared to a lot of people

My suggestion would be, play with, or at least talk to a professional and or an ex professional footballer, and i would imagine that given 10-15 minutes talkign to one (granted not all) they will give you an insight into how much more they do know or need to know to even cut it at a lowly professional level, lets say league 1 for example.

i have been around pro players by the nature of the college and club teams i played for but that did not convince me that the reason i didnt make it was that they were genius and i was a mong ... (by the way before you say it, i know im not good enough to play professionally and this isnt me being bitter)

Yeah, it was. We got a player that never scores anymore and an injury prone master-class that we can't cope without.

Holtby is another wish. Though I wish he'd see out his contract at Schalke and come to us in the summer for free! :X

    That was sarcasm

    ;)

    I love Jelly and Gibson.

In all seriousness though, two of the three players I'd hoped we'd sign are likely going elsewhere. Holtby to Tottenhem and Forren to Fulham.

Think the only time we will do big business mate is if/when we sell Fellaini....looks like it could be a busy summer....

Personally I would consider it a successful transfer window if we manage to hold on to the players that we have and maybe bring in a couple of loans just to strengthen the squad for the run in
