quite a few ... in the recent games besides chelsea where he played the opposite side he comes on to play there

    -----------------

agaisnt Chelsea, he looked woeful, he didnt get chance to get a foot old on the game, b'cos as soon as we made our substitutions Chelsea started playing a pressure game, giving the likes of Barkley, Oviedo, Vellios etc no time on the ball......it was impossible for anyone to judge any of the subs performances this game and take it on face value.....let alone say he should be playing down the right hand side......

feel like you missed my point there ... and you have attacked and defended the kid in the same sentence ... i dont base my player ratings on one game though if naismith had a "woeful" game against chelsea and that was all i saw of him i wouldnt have been writing him off but i have seen every game this season and so feel as though on an aggregate can reasonably judge both players merits to play wide right

so on that basis of evidence, i wonder why Mr Moyes does not start Oviedo on the right?? I could explain it to you, but i don;t feel as though you will grasp it......

Kevin Kilbane was a hero for us when we were rock bottom in hope. Naismith is a trier and useful but not Premiership top six team standard. But we need to address our central defensive positions,we are constantly absent for set pieces against us.on another front,we are all Evertonians and we should be able to debate without abuse. There are enough out there who hate us for the team we follow.

Granted, he's playing out of position. He's certainly not a winger and never ever will be. He's not skillful, he's got next to no pace. In opportunities when he's playing on the wing and we have the ball in a decent area he should be busting a gut to run down that wing and threaten the opposition defence and he just jogs. Not the sign of a man who gives 100%. He loses the ball quite easily sometimes. Not saying he won't get better because Scotland's nothing like England but at the moment why he gets into our first 11 ahead of Oviedo is beyond me. They're both lightweight like but Oviedo has a bit more skill and is a bit faster, seems more driven to do well as well. It's certainly no coincidence that on Wednesday as soon as he came off we scored. Not using him as a scapegoat either because as I say he can do better and he knows he can, just I've seen nothing about him that excites me yet. While he wears Blue I'll keep supporting him though.

Because he obviously knows more and understands more about where/why and how people should be playing in certain positions! ;)

Pleased we finally cleared that one up :)

are you talkin naismith now? if so then yes but i direct you towards my comment to you previously where imply that playing cf or st in the scottish league is different to playing it in the prem league

    -----------------

    which comment previously ?

you were saying he could play across the midfield ..i'm merely pointing out that you comments re his performance are based on a striker playing on the wing..so will of course be biased towrds him being "poor"..

you/someone commented on his touch being poor..i've seen him have some great first touches..some poor ones too ..granted..but if his touch was so poor he wouldn't be a pro ..would he ?

Also...you've chosen to forget he's been seriously injured for 2 years....to return ..as you say in the premier league..is a big step form the SPL...to return after 2years injury, to a new club..out of position....GIVE HIM A BREAK.....
i'll base my opinions on hom ewhen he plays in his rightful position for a few games...

in the meantime he's doing a half decent job filling in for a time and subsequently being replaced when tiring..

well no if you read what i said it was oviedo who i felt had the technical ability to play across the att mid 3 and you seem to suggest that people who get serious injuries will always come back to be as good and if we are talking about how he is an out and out striker then i will point to his tally in the spl which was 28 in 98 games ... hardly good enough for a player playing in one of the top sides in a lower level league

where did i suggest this ? what i stated was..."Also...you've chosen to forget he's been seriously injured for 2 years....to return ..as you say in the premier league..is a big step form the SPL"

AND OUT INJURED FOR 2 YEARS....................................

i'd take 28 from 98 right now...who was our last striker with that rate ?

where did i suggest that you definitely suggested that i said its seems as if meaning the wording youve chosen and the lack of a qualifying statement leads one to believe that is what you meant ... also we've seen felli and jelli do that just recently and we had the yak and even aj had a 1 percentile lower strike rate

And you said where did i suggest this not where did you feel that i suggested this jesus fella ... and yes they have shown a propensity to a much better strike rate and thats no opinion its just statistical fact (as long as you count the games for felli when he plays that off striker pos) ... if youd take naismith over the yak (of the years he was with us) they you are just mad or ........ racist ......... WE HAVE A RACIST HERE .... BAG HIM!
