Elstone says the loss is down to lower gates? What was our Avg last season?

Did we really appear any less on t.v to substancially reduce turn over?

    Me smells a rat,again.

Got my hands on the full accounts

The famous "Other Operating Expenses" came to £22.7 Million for the year
Gate reciepts were under £17 Million
Only £7 Million for the year from all sponsorships (pathetic)
Baines, Fellaini and Pienaar are all on wages of £77,000 per week

    £7m annual income from sponsorship?

That's paltry in this day and age...

There seems to be some "conspiracy theories " floating about re these other operating costs...there isn't a business in the world that doesn't have other operating costs as line in their accounts...

but what the hell lets hang Bill for it...because he/the board must be fiddling everything !!

forget they are exoerienced and professional business people in their own right ....fiddling/cheating bstrds hey ?

    grow up...

If they're such great/experienced business people, why is our turnover about the same as the mighty Fulham's?

It's a set of accounts that goes all the way in highlighting the aquiziatins of Gibson and Jelavic on permanent deals - and Pienaar, Straq and Drenthe on loans, but makes no explicit mention whatsoever of money gained selling Bellefield, Arteta, Beckford, Yobo. Yakubu, Pienaar or Bily.

I don't think the "conspiracy theories" are new. They have existed ever since Kenwright hadn't an iota of an idea what the other operating costs included....where they consumed almost 30% of the clubs entire turnover.......in the accounts he signed off.

Is all of that not extraordinary?

Do you know what they include?

I DONT THINK IT'S EXTRAORDINARY AT ALL

I COULD SUMMISE A GUESS BUT NOT BEING A DIRECTOR ACCEPT I DONT HAVE THE RIGHT TO KNOW...

It's not extraordinary that the chairman of a company can't account for nearly 30% of the company's turnover?
And you think only this chairman and other directors have a right to know - not all the other shareholders too?

    Alrighty then!

COURSE HE CAN ACCOUNT FOR IT.....YE NUMPTY...

YOU FORGET IT'S CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS WHO PRODUCE THESE...BY LAW THEY HAVE TO DECLARE EVERYTHING....IT'S NOT BILL....

MY POINT ABOUT THE DIRECTORS WAS MAINLY AIMED AT THE GENERAL PERSON WHO HAS NO RIGHT TO KNOW......SHAREHOLDERS CAN ASK IF THEY WISH TO KNOW..BUT DONT HAVE A DIRECT RIGHT TO KNOW

    ARE YOU A SHAREHOLDER ?

    ALRIGHTY THEN..

The accounts are done by Deolitte and signed off by them AND The chairman!! (page 14)

If he can account for it - why didn't he? Was he just pretending to scratch his balls in confusion?

Why isn't all the sales accounted for?

And you're right - Shareholders can ask at the next AGM......oh wait.....they don't happen!
Maybe instead, can ring up the ticket office and ask the nice lasy there does she know!

Gentlemen, it is only an operating loss which means the club didn't actually lose money from its own pocket.
In fact with the extra money from Rodwell ( brilliant bit of business) 2012 has been a top 4 finish in football terms.

First post - I have no real concern who is in charge as long as the club continues to progress, though personally Kenwright has always seemed to me to be a fairly sincere fella. A cursory look at one of the clubs generally considered to be fairly well run financially, however, reveals that Arsenal, for the same period have listed their 'Other Operating Charges' as £56'716'000, well over twice the amount that the present board is being pilloried for.

Just thought I'd try and put it in a little bit of perspective. I shall now resume lurking.

Didn't manage to find that figure but £143 mil on wages?.Have I read that wrong? £84 mil from t.v.thats more than our turnover.WTF is happening at our club to allow such disgraceful accounts to materilise?

I'm disgusted at the suggestion that we're not a well supported or (t.v.)watched club.
