2011/12 Club Accounts

Posts: 3,249January 3 The accounts for the year up to May 2012 are out.
Highlights:
- Loss of £9.1 Million
- Debt increase to £46 Million
- wage bill up by £5.5 Million
- Turnover down £1.5 Million
The money we got for Bellefield in the last year or two (was it £10 Million?). That plus Arteta, Beckford, Yobo. Yakubu, Pienaar, and Bily all adds up to something in the region of £35 Million by my estimations plus another £2 Million debt.
With about £7.5 Million of it spent on Gibson, Jelavic, and loan fees for Drenthe, Straq, Pienaar. Plus the costs of the increased wage bill and decrease in turnover and even allowing for our usual £5 Million annual loss which you have to count if you're comparing it wit other years - what the _fuck happened to the other £20 odd Million
And that's before you even get started on the mysterious twenty-something million that's usually disappearing under "Other operating expenses" in the accounts.
Numbers don't quite add up do they? Again! -

The greedy gits.... I can't wait until those blue union heros get in there and stop this great club from being treated as a cash cow!

Posts: 3,249January 3 I don't think Bill is ripping the club off - but I do think he's covering up for those who are - those who helped him win contol of the club and those who helped him defeat the Paul Gregg coup!

In all fairness, Paul Gregg could have tried his 'coup' at any time during his directorship.
The fact that he tried shortly ahead of the Rooney money hitting the bank account and gave up the moment Moyes spent the Rooney money on players should tell you all we need know of the situation.
We should all be very happy Kenwright won that one.

I thought it was more to do with the Kings Dock venture and the killing he could make on that actually - but it's going off on a tangent either way!

It was a weird one, but kings dock or not, the Rooney money went back out onto the pitch. Which looks to be the best place for it, had it not I doubt Moyes would still be here
