Having a tough time today.....

    ......mobile switched off while I'm on Annual leave over xmas, but somat made me check it last night. Had a message from the partner of a great character who ive been supporting for the last 3yrs, through Mental Health issues, and even up to the last session of a Conservation group i run(last Tuesday), he came along despite being very ill through that tw**t of a desease Cancer, had passed away in hospital on xmas eve. I'm devastated he was such a character and a great person to be around and without him realising; was a great support to all the other people in our group who have mental health issues. RIP Hefyn Thomas its been a privalage to have known you.

    Seems like you do a tough job but very conscientiously.  There will be other people like him who need people like you.  All the best mate.

    I'm sorry Howie. It's never easy losing someone you have grown to be friends with and enjoy having in your life. Keep your memories of him in your heart and when you think back on some of the things you spoke about, smile and raise a glass in
    his honor.

    Sorry to hear that Howie mate. Lost a couple of friends/family to cancer this year myself. Its an absolute f'ker of a disease.

    Lived through it and experienced it first hand with an uncle who was more like a father to me pal.....echoing your thoughts on your pal he was one of lifes good guys....a term thats bandied about to often, but true.

    It's just a case of knowing they're better off where they are mate.

    Thanks to you all again for your thoughts. I am blessed to have a good friend who knows me so well and how to keep up my spirits, so i'm feeling a lot better for her guidance and support, likewise from reading your posts...
