Half the season played and we have 33 points. The last two seasons we have won 32 points during the second half of the season, when we usually are playing OK. So if we play as well this second half we will end up with 65 points when the season is finished. Looking back at the last two seasons 65 points have been enough to finish 5th.

Will people here be happy with that?

Didn't we expect to win the league at one point? 65 points won't win us the league.

    Moyes out.

I'd be happy with that, unless someone hits form that might get you forth.

Sounds cliche but at the moment we just need to focus on the next Game and forget everyone else and be positive, couple of draws or defeats we fall right down. Keep it going blues and before you know it we will be in with a good shout for European footy

I think 65 points this season might get 4th. I'd be delighted to finish on that. Second half of the season is a bit more difficult on paper - Man City are the only top club we've played away to yet. Spurs, Arsenal, RS etc - it's a big advantage for ALL of them to have on us. We really need to make next Sunday's game count. Also, we haven't really had a bad run of form yet and you would think we're bound to have one.

On the other hand. Hopefully we'll be improving the squad over the next few weeks!

i'm hoping myself mate that out bad runs of form are going to consist of drawing 2 or 3 games in a row this season, and IF i happen to be right, then we have had a couple of bad runs so far! positive thinking ;)

That's my thinking too. If we have a bad run that consists of 2-3 defeats then we can forget CL, all those draws have to equal our bad run or we're ******.

I would say that we have had a run of poor form. In October and November we had 1 6 1 12 - 12 and many of the team we draw against we should have taken 3 points. A more "normal" result would have been 4 3 1 and 6 more points, which would have taken us level with City.
