New EPL fan (Soccer in general) from MI (USA)

    Hello, Blueroomers :)

I'm a new EPL fan, from Michigan in the USA. I have been getting into Soccer/Football more and more over the past couple of years, and just recently started to watch a lot of the EPL. Some of the first matches that I saw on TV were when Everton was playing. My goal was to eventually pick a club to follow/support, and I've found myself really getting into the Blues :)

I liked reading about the history of the club, the fans/community seems amazing, and so does the whole "blue collar" type feel (no pun intended).

So, I just wanted to say hello to all of you, and forgive my ignorance in advance if you see me asking weird questions as I'm still a newbie!

Welcome to the Blueroom & Everton mate, and Merry Christmas.

You have a few Americans on here already so don't feel like you're treading new ground, they'll look after you, EFC Kentucky & Blue Eyed Girl in particular.

If you have a thick skin you'll be just fine, if you don't, you'll still be just fine because now you're a blue, there'll always be someone by your side.

I have noticed though, that you've turned up the day after the Mayan apocalypse was supposed to kill us all. :p

    Thanks, all!

Deus, maybe its a sign that the Mayan's were wrong...so I was meant to follow Everton :)

I do have thick skin, and I can take (and dish out) pretty much anything. I grew up playing Hockey (still do), so that helps!

Looking forward to getting to know more of you all!

Good man, you'll get some stick (we all do) but you'll fit right in if you give it back, in jest, and ignore the muppets. Escla is a woman trapped in a mans body, I'm sure you can appreciate how frustrating that must be. ;-)

    Haha, sounds good.

Yeah, that must be pretty frustrating. Although, the ability to stand to pee has to be a perk, right?

Depends. Whilst the rest if us need help with the weight, Escla needs Harry Potter magic just to find it.

    Welcome to the BR Scott.
Ask all the questions you want, the guys on here will not mind. We were all new fans once. Our team has a rich history and a number of players that have legendary status. You couldn't have picked a better team to support. It's great to know there is another Michigander out there that supports Everton! COYB! :)

Thanks everyone, for the welcome! This seems like a really cool community/forum, and I've been having a great time reading posts out here :)

@Snowcone: I do not know a Dave Hester, if that question was directed towards me. Is he from MI as well?

Is there a way to watch these matches online if Fox Soccer isn't showing it?
