    It is refreshing to read about an extant pop paedophilia scandal, with actual policemen investigating fresh evidence of contemporary perverts. Recent examples of the genre have relied too much on the re-hashing of old material, some of it, inevitably, meritless. These cheap retrospective witch-hunts cannot hope to withstand honest critical appraisal, especially given the sketchy recording of the original work. In many cases, the originator is either deceased or long past performing, so their questionable efforts are remodelled to suit current tastes- anything to sell the product to an undiscerning market. If it was any bad in its day, why was it not more widely appreciated at the time?

    Modern-day stoning mobs should be encouraged to seek new avenues of exploration, instead of chanting the old favourite tunes. This is the only way in which the form can evolve and more upcoming miscreants get the recognition they deserve.
