    Oh yes - things seem to be a little bit hyped up here.
    Just to answer your question: I'm now generally interested in football just for three years - so I managed living without football for more than 30 years, for some of you probably difficult to imagine. I started following Everton somewhen last spring, so a little less than one year ago.

    I would harm my favourite German team with this recommendation but after our problem during the last games seemed to me that we could play quite well on the field but in the end were not able to keep the win a good goalkeeper should do the job. And beside the usual - and expensive - suspects like Manuel Neuer or Rene Adler a real good and nevertheless affordable goalkeeper is Duesseldorf's Fabian Giefer. 22 years old, 1,96m tall and actually number 3 in the statistics in terms of kept shots on target. He rescued more than one point for Fortuna Duessldorf this year and even when Duesseldorf lost 0:2 (like last weekend) it could have easily been 0:5 without him because he rescued 3 shots that should have been dead certain goals. Duesseldorf bought him for small money because he had no perspective in Leverkusen behind the great names. To give you an idea, after the pre season test games he became number one and Austria's internatioal number one goalie Robert Almer had to step back into backup position. Now we have the jersey number 1 sitting on the replacment bench and number 33 standing between the poles.

    Hallo Mirko, wie bist du?! Es ist gut fur die Deutschen dass sie unterstützt Everton! Meine lieblings-deutsch-team ist Schalke wiel Schalke spielen in blau auch. Meine deutsch ist kleine und nicht so gut! Tim Howard ist ok aber er war sehr gut in die vergangenheit, die Manchester United v Everton Elfmeterschießen (Ja, ich have helfe from Google fur dieses wort!). 

    And that's all I can remember!

    Hi Mirko, greetings from America. Welcome to the forum!

    I'm a relatively new fan myself. I've been following, supporting, and
    loving the blues since the 09/10 season. I hope you stick around and
    post often, enjoy the banter and have a good laugh. The guys are all
    nice ( except escla ;) )  and they don't mind if you ask questions about the
    clubs history or players. I often did while I was learning and still do on occasion when there is something I don't know.
    Ours has a rich history and you couldn't have picked a
    better team to support!
