    If you had a full-length barrier across, every three rows or so, this would remove the risk of crushing. More fans would fit into the same space, compared to seating, and the risk of falling over the seat in front would be removed. It would actually be safer than seats. The fans would simply file into their position as they do now.

    Seated areas could be retained for the "luxury" end of the market, and for shortarses.

    i think the thing is now, if standing were to be brought back, there would be the correct amount of tickets sold and the correct amount of people would be in the standing area, thus taking away alot of the risk of people getting hurt, because there wouldnt be over crowding and people in the area that shouldn't be there.

    Ideally, there would be sumptuous leather armchairs, with little tables at each knee, for drinks and an ashtray. Waiter service, the right to shout and swear without sanction- ideal. Just like home.

    Not for me. The people in front of me are 7 foot tall . No point going if you cannot see and we have good speck now. In fact apart from one or two the whole row in front are 7 foot tall
