    An' wha does i' say abar the boards accountability to supporters?..non existent like..

    Where else can companies simply suspend agms indefinitely?

    EVERTON shareholders have been asked to support a requisition to force the Blues board to permanently reinstate AGMs.

    Letters were sent out to Blues shareholders this morning, with a full text for an EGM Petition published on http://www.efcsa.org.

    Shareholders are asked to respond by December 10.

    The traditional AGM ceased in 2008 when a change in the Companies Act removed a legal requirement for the Blues board to hold an AGM.





    Since 2009 the Everton FC Shareholders Association has privately petitioned chairman Bill Kenwright and chief executive Robert Elstone to restore the annual meetings, but the Blues have made it clear there is no appetite for a reintroduction of the often feisty affairs.

    In a covering letter, the association’s honorary secretary James Asquith wrote: “It is with deep regret that we believe the only course of action now open to us is to seek qualified approval and support for the enclosed Requisition that seeks to force the board, through the will of the membership, to call an Extraordinary General Meeting.

    “We truly believe that this is very important to the future of the club. We are only asking for the board of our club to answer simple questions on the financial performance of the company and to permanently reinstate the AGM.

    “We all know that our football club faces great, and growing, challenges in the modern game. How we face those challenges together – fans, shareholders and directors – is of concern and interest to us all. We believe that your opinions should be heard by the board, and we believe that Annual General Meetings are the proper and appropriate forum to voice them.”

    Eminently reasonable proposal.
    Wha' chance o' success with this board...they dont want t' answer questions on their performance,the state o' the clubs finances etc etc.
    I think supporters are deservin' o' better treatment bu' there yer go.
    No one on 'ere seems arsed tho.
    Says a lo' abar this place.

    I couldn't give ashite. Bills got millions in, I've got fuckall in. Therefore, he has more right than I do to decide what he does at the club. How much have you got invested Digger? You watch Match of The Day I suppose thats a help.

    I've got shares in a few companies and have no say.
    I've invested money in the club, I've spent money in Tesco but I don't try to tell the Chairman what to buy and sell.
    I don't give ashit because I have no more right to tell Bill what to do than I have Bill Gates etc.

    if yer want t' compare a football club t' tesco well..i been thro this **** with toffeecup,among others an I  would say the comparison is flawed

    btw all share'olders 'ave a say...at the agm...bu' if theres no agm.....

    Its the same principle, the club is the business and I am the consumer. Why do I have any right to tell the chairman he's wrong? Funny thing is, the KEIOC campaign, which was comprised of "fans", probably did more to stop the club moving forward than Bill could ever manage. 

    It seems to me that people are just looking for another stick to beat Bill with. He may not be the greatest chairman in the world but it seems to me, the real problem people have is that he simply isn't wealthy enough.

    A consumer is no' the same as a supporter....a consumer will move on...to a better product or a cheaper price..
    A supporter..an Everton supporter...'ow does 'e show 'is displeasure a' how the club is bein' run? especially if 'e cant vent i' at an agm....does 'e change clubs?..many 'ave their whole lives devoted t' the blues..

    I'm no' beatin' bluebill...'is time is up...'e never 'ad money...let 'im sell up,get a fair price an fck off

    Brilliant idea that, right, you have a buyer lined up? A supporter can choose to stop going the game should they wish, the attendance figures should surely drop if people are so upset at the way the club is being run. If you devote your life to a football team, you should really take a good look at yourself. Its a game at the end of the day. See I'll watch the footy, I'll hope we win, I've seen us win the league etc. If football was banned tomorrow would I be upset? About the same as I was when they stopped The Hitman And Her. This is maybe where I differ from a lot of you. I worry about my wife and my kids. Everything else is bumfluff. Do I worry how much Bill has given Moyes? Not really. 

    You sort it out Digger, let me know when Sheik Al Qaida is in town.
