what is it with Man U?

watched Match Of Day yesterday having managed to avoid their score. two nil up to Villa and not a sniff of a chance for United in the highlights. something deep down tells me they will win. two scrappy finishes later and a stupid bit of a defending from a set piece and thats it. happened time and time again last few seasons. nothing special at the back or in midfield. useful up front. so many games won when not playing well usually indicates a team very solid at the back but dont even think thats true.
Just a thought but is there a chance teams get that same sinking feeling I got when they go ahead. So much talk in the media about their resilience and the inevitability of them doing this kind of thing. Bound to sink into the mind of some teams.

Its typical of Manchester United, they always come back and you genuinely can never write them off. I watched that match live and when Villa went 2 0 up, I thought that United would come back to win as well.

i dont see that much in their team to justify it happening so much though. i know some teams turn up already beaten to a ground when a team has a massive reputation but something spooky about it with Man U, teams do seem to come and play them nowadays, seen them played off the park at times, then first chance they get and thats it. the first goal yesterday the ball was stuck under Hernandez foot, he didnt know where it was but somehow ends up in right spot to poke it through keepers legs, and second was going miles wide. if it was another team and the game had gone like that you would just be thinkng ..jammy goals but time left to get ahead again.

Villa are very frail at the momment, even at 2-0 i dont think they believed, it was a case of well at least we wont lose. Utd for all their, not a good side thoughts from us, still have fitness, determination to keep going(like a bad toothache) and above all they have speed in the right places(upfront and out wide)....

Goal keeper saved them some blushes at our place...

    Ferdinand past it
Smalling poor decision making and got easily outmuscled yesterday
    Evra is nearly past it
Cant even remember who was right back? Rafael is promising in fits and starts
Carrick is a nearly man... Can pass fine but i prefer gibson now i've seen im
Scholes is a crackin player but even hes shows his age now
    Hernandez? Crackin player
    Rooney... Rooney
    Van Persie is exceptional
Valencia is good but not in Mirallas or a fully firing Pienaars league

Story is... If they get to the final third they can and will score...

agree with player analysis, also think if Fergie wasnt too proud to do it then would play all three forwards and be more direct. not that i am bidding for the job. yet. still not sure when you look how below par the midfield and defence are that they should be up there so consistently though. Defoe looks better than anyone at the moment but you can still stop the service to him. anyway they not gonne effect where we finish this year so suppose i should get over it. not easy round here though

They've only came back from 2 nil down on 7 occasions in the Premiership.

Granted it's the most ever comebacks by a team from that position but still....it's not THAT often.

id say that was probably the best ive seen villa play this season, which would dissapoint me if i was a villa fan, they only gave 100% because man united was in town, where was that grit and determination in their other games this season??

They are shocking... Relying heavily on youth... A big name striker... And an overrated past his best midfielder...

    Hey... Sound like anyone else!?"
