Everton

Considering Everton's progress this season the defeat at the Madjeski stadium was very disappointing, but the Toffee's are not going to accrue the points tally their play deserves, unless they start keeping clean sheets and punishing teams when they are very much in the ascendency. Furthermore, Fellaini is an adaptable player but his best position is in front of the back four dictating play. Hopefully, playing alongside Gibson when he eventually returns from injury.

Positives can be taken from the game though, with Hitzelperger having an impressive first half and again Jelavic exhibiting extreme toil, with no end, due to the lack of service.

Miriallis pace was sadly missed, who does a sound job on either wing but Everton urgently require a quality natural left sided player with pace, to balance the team. Pienaar, Osman, Naismith are quintessentially central players and need play there if selected. Importantly Distin and Hibbert need to be re-installed into the first team as soon as possible.

Worrying Moyes has stated he has not the resources to purchase players in January. If this is the case then another top ten finish is achievable which regrettably vindicate Alan Hansen's opinion,"Moyes has taken Everton as far as he can".

Money needs to be given to Moyes to bolster the squad with quality signings.

Thank you Sherlock for that BBC MOTD quality observation.....

Fellaini has been unplayable in most games this season in his more forward role....he's our top goalscorer.....he can switch back to a holding role when a game dictates...

but Everton urgently require a quality natural left sided player with pace, to balance the team. Pienaar, Osman, Naismith are quintessentially central players and need play there if selected.

although Pienaar has been off form lately..... Pienaar is a quality left sided player...pienaar & baines is probably the best left combo in the league

Hibbert need to be re-installed into the first team as soon as possible.

    he's been injured FFS......

    Alan Hansen's opinion .

Although Fellaini is our leading goalscorer he doesn't create a lot for Jelavic. Felli dominates the game in midfield and he proved against Sunderland that he can still get a goal from there. Although Naismith isn't as good as Felli he is better for the team in attacking mid. He also has an eye for goal and Naismith has pace and energy to charge down defenders and put them under pressure.

Bit harsh like for a first time poster......it's not like he's being a c.u.n.t..... althiugh he did say quintessentially.....

I do agree that Felli is at his best in a deeper role.

how dare you come on ere and try and have a serious conversation about everton like haha

i've taken each point into paragraphs by the way you have separated them, so point 1, i agree we are giving too many goals away and we need to nip it in the_arse. fellaini himself has said his best position is defensive midfield, and with the other midfielders we have, that could be accomodated in my opinion.
    point 2 - agreed
point 3 - agreed about mirallas but the left sided thing i disagree, central midfiled being the most important to get sorted because phil neville isnt up to it and we can't just depend on gibson, fellaini in defensive mid should be tried out
point 4 - they work the transfer funds out on last years profit and next year's projected profit, and did we all think we'd sign so many in the summer window? we have a capable team without any new signings, just needs polishing up a bit like
point 5 - agree, money is the answer to everything, but then again, i'd hate us to become the next man_shitty
