    Yahoo:

Leon Osman (CM): 8 - At the grand old age of 31, the debutant's commanding 90 minutes in all areas of the pitch will surely guarantee that he out-caps fellow late bloomers Kevin Davies, Steve Bould and Chris Powell.

    Mirror:

Leon Osman Neat and tidy. Got better as his debut went along. But, at 31 years of age, it's hard to see Osman getting to the World Cup in two years' time. Rating: 7

    Teamtalk:

Leon Osman: Tough for Osman to make an impact on this pitch but, at 31, he will not get many chances and improved after the break. 7

    Bleacher:

Leon Osman: 7/10Mr. Movember's long-awaited evening went swimmingly, didn't it? He transformed his domestic form to an England shirt seamlessly and provided a decent passing outlet all game long.He wasn't afraid to be himself, take players on and have a crack at goal. Impressive confidence

All fair assessments. Personally think he'll be fine for the world cup in Brazil if he's still wanted. Unlike other players at this level, Ossie has always had the summer off and played far fewer games than the likes of Terry, Gerrard, Lampard et al throughout his career so his career should last longer.

yeah let nobody down, was really proud of him to get the call up and even more so to see the good display. Though i think Hodgson was looking at him as potential cover for the "mature player" role - should Gerrard or Lampard not be fit for the world cup (if we qualify!!)

I thought he did superbly. His 3 touch dribbling past the 3 defenders in the box was delightful. I think Hodgson would be missing a trick if Ossie never got another shot. The commentators were waxing lyrical about him, which will do his confidence a world of good, if nothing else.

Very proud of him, (as proud as you can be when you have had no part in his training, bringing up, etc! :-D)

Shame he was limited by having Cleverly and Welbeck along side him.

shocking he is anywhere near the England team, don't mind Welbeck i reckon he'll get better with age, reminds me of Ian Wright

Our worst player without a doubt yesterday was Gary Cahill. That guy is just a useless cumbersome lump.

That is what I really think. I don't care enough about England to have a rant on the matter.
