Paolo di Canio - the successor to Moyes?

    Hi,
I was thinking that Paolo would be a good successor to Moyes. He plays a fantastic attacking style of football and is a funny person in the press conferences. Also, Everton went for an almost unknown manager last time, Moyes, who turned out to be one of the greatest managers in the premier league. Finally, he's get a fantastic reception at Goodison because of what he did in 2001, by picking up the ball when our keeper was injured.
Well, that's what I think, what do you guys think?

Firstly, welcome to the forum. I think Moyes will be here for years yet but Di Canio does sound like a decent replacement if I'm wrong although he has be no experience at this level but, like you said, neither did Moyes.

Loved him as a footballer, think he has a screw loose though, not to mention he might turn us into fascists, remember his salutes with Lazio........

trying to think of the nicest way possible now to say I wouldn't want the right wing freak anywhere near the blues. Bilic still my dream. But that's another story. weren't there rumours that Gordon Lee was an NF symapthiser. Wouldn't want a pattern emerging. Has Di Cannio ever cleared up the fascist rumours. it wasn't just the salute it was expressing admiration for Mussolini I think.

I think I'd canio would be best joining us if we were the other end of the table, our dressing room is the best at the moment so I can't see him add to much to us. There's a lot worse we get linked too

more than that from his comments in the article linked he sounds confused about real implications of what he is saying. i think its fair enough to say people's politcal opinions dont effect what they can do on the pitch etc. , but his opinions are going to impact massively on many of the people he is supposed to be managing. can't see how he wouldn't understand that.

dont think he is confused about his views just sounds like he doesn't see a link between expressing fascist views and the true nature of fascism when he is faced with it. or maybe he is just lying. either way....its Bilic for me
