NSNO said:we don't have the points total after 10 games that our football has deserved......which is disappointing....
Spurs haven't played well yet, and still they have the same points as us....Arsenal have been patchy, but still they have only 2 points less....
having watched Newcastle a few times, i don't think they're a contender for 4th spot.....
Spurs & arsenal....well they aren't as good as last season..... but we will have to take atleast 4 points off both of them in the head to heads....
the next 6 games are huge......we have 3 games next which we have a decent chance of 9 points (sunderland, reading, norwich) which we badly need.......because then its Arsenal, Man City & spurs...3 massive games which i can't wait for....

Howard has been stopping some great one-on-ones, but his positioning for most of the goals against us were dubious to say the least.
We are closer to 10th than 1st so being 4th is no great comfort when we have to keep chasing games we should be bossing. Nice to see though.. but the reality is that with a less potent attack, we would be propping up the table at the moment...........
Still, I'll take it and hope for more cover for our defence and less pressure on them so we can really start to punish teams for the remainder of the season.

HOWIE8 said:The anxiety is in the defence coz were not scoring enough. We must be averaging about 15-20 chances a game and not scoring more than 2 on the whole, bar twice when we got 3, and we won those. But when were only a goal up or as more recently having to come from behind and dominating with chance after chance and not scoring, is it a wonder Moyes sent on Distin, in the last game..............

Conceding 2 isn't so bad. If it were 3 or 4 I'd be worried.
I'd say we need shooting practice. Almost every player launched at least one shot off-target - Pienaar, Mirallas,Jela, Coleman, even Jags twice I think. Naismith's rebound shot was dismally weak. Only Fellaini had all his on target and one off the post although he missed one from a yard or two away where he could have just stuck his leg out.
