Striking the Right Balance

We've gone from a team who used to be ultra cautious and difficult to create anything against, to a team with better players but that's now very open and conceeding plenty. Not specifically today, but throughout the season overall, I can't help but think we've gone just a little bit too far the other way.

I'd glady sacrifice some of this exciting attacking play if it meant we could be tighter at the back.

What I wouldn't give to have a Lee Carsley sitting in front of the back 4. If replacing Neville, that alone wouldn't sacrifice any attacking flair. Having 2 attacking full backs is great to watch but maybe you're gonna concede a lot if you don't use 2 sitting midfielders with it.

I just think we haven't struck the right balance between attacking and staying tight. And we have to do some business in January to achieve it. The return of Gibson will help, but we still need to sign that lad from Brugge or somebody else.

Well I don't think that's all that hypothetical cos I think we will have £15m and at least £10m more with it next Summer cos I do think Fellaini will go. So we'll be shopping in a market we're not used to. And maybe it'll be worth not buying anyone in the lower market before that. I'd just hope to see that loan for the Brugge lad to go thru. I say that without really knowing what he's like

i've been followin him n he does look like a tidy player... if it goes through jan i think it will be a permanent deal rather than a loan... i think we rushed the loan because it was late in the day...

yep we're far too open......a defensive midfield signing is top priority for january.......we have so much potential right now woth our attacking options, but as today showed, we always look likely of conceeding.....very frustrating when you've dominated a game so much.....

if we had 15m i'd have sandro from spurs.....

Hopefully we'll get Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe in January.
