I think Oveido should of been on before Gueye, he just doesnt seem able to hack it, I would even have put....now wait for this...I would have played....wait.........

I would have put Anichebe on the wing (theres a sentence I thought I would never say)

i would have played Oviedo when Mirallas went off and i agree maybe Anichebe should have replaced the lacklustre Jelevic - to give some spark up front which we lacked

Anichebe was injured, agree with the sentiments about magaye though.

Agree, Jelavic didn't have a good game, nothing he did seemed to be effective, although I thought it'll only take one piece of magic, but time after time nothing worked off from him and I thought for the last 10 velios should have been told to cause them a few problems which Jela did not do all day

Vic was not on bench, gueye was only replacement wide player.Ossie was having such a great game CM.

When DM seen gaey was not in it. He should of switched him for velious, naismith lM.

Nothing wrong with taking off a sub.

surely johnny H could have come on?

or even given Hitzlsperger a chance.

well as said he was ideal replacement, he has had a few good games in the past, but few and far between and doesnt seem to of developed further, maybe moyes thought he would do a decent job on the young right back. it didnt work but i still think he can be a decent squad player in time.

I think thats harsh on Gueye. He's talented and left sided, maybe a run of games would see him improve (although i admit i wouldn't give him a run ahead of Piennar or Mirallas). Come on though, you could see what Moyes was thinking, someone on the left side. Anichebe there? you're having a laugh, he's a centre forward not a left winger!

Moyes probably hoped Gueye could have the kind of impact he had against sunderland in the cup last season...and it was a great opportunity for him going up against an even younger full back.....
you have to give young players a chance and see what they can do......Gueye blew his chance, he may not get another one.......

and i disagree on Jelavic......particularily second half, liverpool sat back and looked to counter attack, when teams do that its very hard for forwards to find space....added to that without Pienaar & Mirallas (2nd half), we simply didn't create much for him.....

he didnt get much service in the 2nd half, and thats not the first time its happened this season. we dont seem to have much in the way of substitutes, if our first eleven arent on the field we look weak.

we need 3 or 4 better players to make a difference. and of course we need to sell to buy. hard to see anyone really desirable that we can sell. rodwell was no real loss to us and he fetched a good price, we dont have another valuable player we can afford to lose.

I agree. Think the guy is very talented. And yes, pity for him he's got Piennar & Mirallas in front of him. But I think he gave it his best shot on Sunday .

In all fairness we should have buried them long before the contentious decision.

gueye was poor on sunday only seen him play 1 good game for us that was sunderland away in the cup..all the rest below average...4 years ago he would've been a decent player for us at the standard we were playing then..

however, we've moved on so should he....

why did moyes play him....simple..he thought it was the best option in his, as manager, opinion...

all the rest is easy with hindsight...

"he thought it was the best option "

what does that say about our squad? is he better than johnnyH? or  Hitzlsperger?

surely not. if he is we are in big trouble.
