Who do ya think should play left mid against the RS?

I think we should play Magaye Gueye. He's quick, tricky and has a decent cross on him. He's also starting to find the net in the games he's played in with goals against Leyton Orient and Sunderland last season.

Either Gueye or Oviedo I guess.

Oviedo would be the better option I guess as he is going to be more defence minded than Gueye.

Bring in Naismith and have him and Mirallas swapping flanks, then bring on Oviedo with 20 left to sprint past them at will.

Naismith looked good pre-season but he's not getting a look in at the moment

i'm hoping Hibbert is fit to play....if so, I'd push Coleman forward to right midfield, and switch Mirallas over to the left.....

Personally, I'd rather keep Mirallas on the right and put either Gueye or Oviedo on the left, then throw Naismith behind Jelly.
But then this all depends on if Felli plays, and where he plays, I suppose.

Yeah the team news on Felli is gonna be a massive factor on the game.....i still fancy us without pienaar (although i still really plssed off with that red card), but if Felli misses out too, i think we lose too much of what makes us thick as a team.....

I'm unsure on Gueye & Oviedo...Gueye is still young, and hasn't shown enough yet......oviedo i simple know very little about.....
My reasoning for playing Mirallas on the left is i think he can link up with Baines better, and we need to be bringing Baines into the game in their half as much as possible, its something we just didn't do in the wembley semi final when Gueye looked completely out of his depth.....
if we play Coleman & hibbert on the right side, i think we boss young Sterling out of the game......

Yeah, I understand what you are saying.
I like Coleman, but I seriously want to see us win this game, and as well as Coleman has done at RB in recent games, I'd love to see someone stronger down the right wing.
But then, it works like that for both wings eh.

It's not an easy call imo.

I'd have him on for his energy, as has been said, we need a to be at them from the top down and Naismith is that kind of player. When things start to open up then we need the pace of Oviedo and Mirallas, IMO.

Wouldn't trust Oviedo in the biggest game of the season so far. Didn't like the look of him against Leeds. I'd go for Gueye, always puts the effort in, and would like to keep Mirallas on the right.

Oviedo. This will allow Baines to push forward while he defends.

well, Pienaar hasn't had his best game since he cut his dreds off, so it might be a blessing in disguise, Pienaar being put back for one game.

I would be very very surprised if Gueye or Oviedo play, Mirallas will play left midfield with Naismith on the right and Felli off the striker if he is fit.

Play Oviedo left back and Bainsy left midfield so he can link up with strikers in left front corner - he should be given more opportunities to execute his pin-point passes - to assist strikers
