How worried are you about this happeneing in the future? During the halftime show this past weekends game with QPR, the commentators were going on and on about how good Moyes is and how he is probably the best manager in the league. Then they all agreed how when SAF's contract is up that Moyes will be leading the red devils. Just curious on how everyone reacts to this thought or if it's a non issue.

I try my best to tune them guys out at the half to be honest. Did you hear them in the pre-game saying that the true test of how great a manager Moyes is, is how he handles himself when he moves to a "Big Club" and gets some money???
ARGH! I get so angry listening to them!
I don't know which is worse, having to listen to Steve McManaman on ESPN or Eric Wynalda on Fox Soccer.

I'd imagine they'd go for the likes of Guardiola or Mourinho if either of those are available. It'll probably be the toughest job in football to takeover united after Ferguson.

Thanks for the reminder.  I forgot they kept going on and on about how Moyes could do at a club that actually had money.  Kept talking about how poor Everton is and that Moyes will move on to a big club after this.

Moyes isn't the greatest manager in the PL at all. Ferguson built United from the ground up to winning titles. Moyes is yet to do that. Granted, it was a different game back then and granted, Moyes has only been with us for 10 years and made vast improvements in our side, but he still has to win something.

Change "some" to "most" and I'll agree. I don't know hardly anyone who like "soccer". It's made fun of over here mostly. I also get made fun of for liking hockey and get called unamerican because of my sports I choose to watch - not football. But it IS growing in great numbers the past decade and is even getting bigger with being on espn every saturday morning. Also, having a kick **** womens national team has opened some eyes aswell. However, any of you close minded f@cks can just ignore this thread and not respond. Thanks.

This is a function of the idiocy of the south ... sorry i love the geological formations but i can't stand the stereotype of the people (which turns out mostly to be spot on) ... I am a little further north of kentucky and there is hardly any of this making fun of people for liking a sport ... the south has always been american football dominated and that wont change anytime soon ... but there are some knowledgeable people all around the states and they shouldn't be written off (as i consider myself one of them) just because a portion of our country are crazy nationalist bigots

Yep it's definetly all about football down here. High school football, college football, pro football, all things football. Even in my state where it's mostly college basketball obsessed, including me. I always get told that soccer and hockey are boring sports to watch. My **** they are. I always just tell people they are intelligent enough to follow them.

I'm not sold that this is true.  I think we often win in spite of Moyes' plans.  I'm not sure than can be said of SAF.

Its impossable to predict the future but to say that there will never be a manager to match SAF's achievements,in the prem, is the nearest I'm gonna get.

As much as the RS hate him & opposing fans slate him, record books don't lie.

I can't wait for him to go to show the mancs there a one trick pony, albeit a good trick.
