    I was sooo looking forward to having James Beatiie at Everton, rated him. Very disaappointed with his performances for us

    Beattie scored a great goal against Blackburn in the game our keeper got sent off for picking the ball up outside the area,can't remember his name.

    Wasn't Nuno Valente a left back, he tops that bill for me

    Also Segundo Castillo, didn't seem to get a fair crack at it (that goal in Europe aside) probably means he would unjustly make the bench before some of the other puddings Mr Stephen Hughes very much included

    great call with Hughes...he is going in for Collins or Samway. I kept going on about the midfielder who came from a london team and was dead classy but sh it for us, I could even picture him but no one came up with a name. sadly too many classy midfielders who looked out of place with us in the nineties. I think Valente came cheaply mainly as cover so didn't include him for that reason. atill not convinced Phelan the man but its tricky one. Samways or Collins? Samways seemed totally uninterested in playing for us wheras think Collins just wrong place , wrong team
