I eagerly await the derby I just hope i get it live. I have always hated Liverpool and I have an old family friend who follows them and is from there so it will be a fun game to watch.

If he swears his allegiance to the Crown that's good enough for me. Deal suspended due structural survey issues that require further investigation.

    I'm a monarchist I don't want Australia to become a republic.

I fully intend to visit England one day but I lack the means right now, but when I do visit I will be spending most of my time in Hereford where my family is but I will be making the trek to see an Everton game for sure.

I'm more of a long list brother than a colonial cousin since I'm first generation Aussie and all my family that came before me were born in England... But then the welsh in me could be considered a cousin I spose.

Oi ....Andy Pandy .....I'm an adopted Fremantle fan. They're the Everton of Perth (the underdogs) so surprised you would go for the Eagles (Ben Cousins ? And even worse........The Chardonnay Set????) Pass me a bucket!

The local proper football (or soccer as they call it here) team is Perth Glory. Went to their Grand Final a few years back when they played Newcastle (New South Wales). Led 3-0 at half time. Lost on penalties in extra time.

Who does that remind you of???!!!

Went off them a bit when Robbie Fowler joined, passed him not 100 yards from my office & my overriding thought was - what a titch (or shortarse for those not of my era). Suffice to say he didn't last long. Went off to Thailand or somewhere he could make buckets of dosh without working too hard.

The A-league does seem to attract some bug name players who are coming to the end if their careers or just for a season or two till they can get a contract else were worth more money

Ben Cousins was a great player, but the drugs scandal really didn't do him any favours. And forgive my ignorance, although I like to think I know a bit about AFL and the Eagles, I've no idea who the Chardonnay Set are!

Also been following Glory for a while, even more so in the last couple of years as we seem to have more coverage of A-League than we used to. I was actually in Northbridge for Fowler's unveiling! He made a quip about Everton and I'm convinced that's because he saw me in my EFC shirt, which I wore on purpose haha. He didn't last long in Thailand either did he, he's back here now the soft sod! Should have stayed in Oz, I'd give my left leg to live there!

You might be able to tell me how to address royalty, we've got Sophie coming to visit the place I do voluntary work at next Monday, what's the deal when addressing her? (And I know not to call her Sophie either!)

Thing is, when it comes to Royalty, the temptation to turn a wave into a V-Sign is all too tempting ;) (of course, I genuinely wouldn't do that, I know better, but I still have no time for the Royals)

Lol. I don't know how much time I have for Royals but I do have respect for them. My English heretage means a lot to me and I would have gotten a clip round the ear by my late grandfather if I hadn't shown or learned proper respect.

Well respect has to be earned....so some members may be ill-deserving of your respect to my way of thinking.

Still Grandad's principle was well-meaning. And you obviously respected him & his opinion.
