What do you expect his captain has been diving around for years

The way to put a stop to it is by banning players who blatantly dive. If Suarez was to be given say a two match ban for that then do you think he would do it again? Most players don't blatantly dive, but there are stilll many players who do, but it won't stop until these players are punished.

It's the funniest thing I've ever seen a footballer do.  He couldn't have made a bigger fool of himself if he tried. So glad he's a RS player. Every Kopite I know is cringing with embarrassment. What an absolute clown. Never mind Kaká ... he's Coco.

This appeared in the paper today- Rodgers is actually repeating the same arguments after [italics requested, but not granted] the Stoke embarrassment, as if it had never happened. Has he no shame? He is proving to be as ridiculous as the previous one, who was a scarecrow. I suspect he is being controlled by some doublespeak expert from head office. I read that that "documentary" they recorded was risible, making them look like a bunch of fairies. Even the self-regarding rs would not be daft enough to do that, without being forced into it.

Ah, Charlie beat me to it.  Rodgers has gone native, he's adopted that whining victim mentality so quickly.  And they call us bitter!

You would think Liverpool would learn their lesson having backed this horse once before they got kicked all over the press and costs KK his job. Suarez could take down another manager with his antics and their insistance on backing him.

I don't really like to say this but Ferguson publicly shamed Young for a lot less than this, maybe Rodgers should look to him on how to deal with the press, it's not likely to stop the diving but it does show a little bit of class rather than telling everyone to stop picking on poor Suarez

Hilarious dive. I saw this on ssn yesterday. Seems to be the talk right now. How could Rodgers possibly defend that? It's a shameful act that is a big reason why more fans over here don't care for the sport. It's also been taking place a lot in hockey lately too and is drawing its due criticism. I think a 3 game match ban is a little excessive for a first time offense, probably a red card. But another occurence should be a multigame ban.

In Hockey?  These are meant to be hard men!  I haven't watched it for some years now, but I was always a huge fan of Jeremy Roenick, not only skillful, but can lose a few teeth against the boards and just get up.
