    He came through the academy, played his part in top half finishes (we need every penny), didn't request to be transferred, isn't an arrogant Jeffers type and is a good professional. Personally, I hope he does well. I don't think Mancini's in at the deep end strategy is likely to pay off, but that's not Jack's fault, he just not at the games week in week out level yet.

    If he cuts out the mistakes, with Kompany to learn from, he could also live up to all the hype. You'd be hard pressed to find a better player for him to study.
