Warnock knew that Moyes, like any other Premier team manager, would make wholesale changes in a game like tonights. Out would go the 1st teamers and in would come the stiffs and the "starlets" like Junior. Warnock knew this would be Leeds big chance to cause an upset and it duly panned out that way.

Moyes blathers on about winning a cup and european football yet here's a competition that covers both those ambitions and he just throws it away through poor selection just as he has done in the past.

If he wants the plaudits for the teams recent success then he also has to take the blame for the teams failures like tonights fiasco. Warnock worked out what he was going to do and it paid off as the result showed.

I think you're spot on Samuel the same way Moyes can have off Swanseas tactics and set up Warnock has done the same to Moyes. Its the fossil outwitting the dinosaur.

Round handed him the game, he is in charge for the League Cup, has been for years but to be fair to him Moyes doesn't give him the full team to choose from so he put out his best starting eleven who couldn't match a well drilled and pumped up Leeds team early in the exchanges.

    Has Moyes ever beaten Warnock?

I will answer that myself in a minute.

If you ever wonder why your electricity costs so much, it's because you pay me to find this stuff out at the expense of a large energy supplier.

97/98 I don't think Moyes was manager, but Preston lost and drew to Warnock's Oldham.

98/99 Warnock at Bury, no games

99/00 Won and Lost (Aggregate win) in the league cup, but prior to Warnock taking over.

    19th August 2000 Won 3-0 at home.

    Yes, Moyes has beaten Warnock
