The only thing that has perked me up from the Leeds game...Oveido

    quick as lightening

    some good skills

would have had a great chance of a goal in the first half only for a dodgy offside flag (see how well he set himself up?)

We'll turn him into a top player. Watch!

I agree too, moyes got him cheap, can't see him overtaking Barnes but he will force his way in, I reckon a good Neville replacement

Yeah, I was very happy with Oveido tonight... He showed great work rate, good pace and great attacking presence. He was definitely the highlight of the night for me. Although, it's unfortunate... I don't really see him starting often with Baines in the picture, but you never know, another performance like tonight and he may be a favourite.

I wasn't wowed.  He seemed to not quite know what to do at times, he didn't produce all that much, and he's as good at defending as Forrest.

I liked him, he'll defo be a big name for us in a couple of seasons, I like his pace, maybe try an bring him in more centre coz theres nothing better than the Bains Pienaar link up

i thought i was the only one who thought this.. i guess he splits opinion.
I don't doubt that he will become a decent player for us but he did very much look like a man who didnt know his team mates too well. The cut back for Big Vics shot was decent and reminiscent of baines and pienaar... would be interesting to see if we could adapt him to play left centre mid and have Baines / pienaar / Oviedo in a little triangle going forwards once he's settled

looks alot more tough on the pitch then i was expecting, was worried he was gonna be too soft for the english game....but looked decent, and with Pienaar off the the african nations (and inevitable injuries to baines & pienaar) he'll be an important squad player for us over the season....

Moyes possibly knows that people will come back for Baines either January or the summer too and better to have a replacement integrated into the squad if Baines ends up handing a transfer request in, than beign left up sh8t creek without a paddle

considering what was going on around him with several players in a daze, and how different Leeds away must be from anything he is used to then I think that was as good a debut as could be expected. every touch was postitive, he looked clever, great change of pace, technicallly good and determined. good balance and lovely weight of pass. real shame he is in position we are strongest in but i would definitely be looking to play him with Baines as he maybe able to cover his runs even more effectively than Piennar. Piennar in the middle or maybe on right with Mirallis tucked behind the striker.

He'll get better for sure, don't think he's an ideal replacement for Baines as now we expect a player of baines' calibre in that position

I was often annoyed the way he was caught out of position a number of times and his tackling is abit of a hit and miss.

Bit stupid for him to wear the number 8, that's a midfielders number not a left back
