Well one thing is for sure. On a Monday night, where pretty much every other Premier League player will have been watching, he just earned some respect, and maybe even an extra yard of it.

You cant always measure impact of a player by whether everything he does comes off. along with Baines and Piennar he had their defence on edge and that is something we have been missing for years. his work off the ball is excellent too and he seems unlikely lose the ball in key areas. he is gonna get better when he doesnt feel he has prove worth, but would settle for what he is now..only slight worry is that Piennar and him feel they have compete for same place. competition in other areas can be great but sometimes attacking wide players need to know they got a long run and can settle and make percentage choices rather than produce spectacular every time. Piennar made some poor decisions too on Monday .

One of those shots in particular, had he passed it, we'd likely be sitting in 3rd now. We don't need a Nani, we need someone with skillz, but also the intelligence to know when someone else is in a better position. I'm not asking him to change, I'm asking him to step it up a level.

Piennar made the more obvious mistake on that level

Very exciting prospect and will definitely get better as his fitness improves and he get's used to the pace of the premiership. I think he has real quality, but looks a grafter too with a real desire to win!

Yep, we are thinking the same play I believe. One of our players was wide **** open for a gimme goal. Oh well. He was exciting to watch though.
