Why should Fans/Players/Managers respect referee'swhen they make terrible mistakes like in that game. Wouldn't be as bad if they came out and apologised or acknowledged their mistakes. We'll here nothing from this bunch and if Moyesey says out he'll get a fine. FA are abolutely fooking as w*nk as c*ock

Think refs should be at similar level to players but again I'm sure a computer or a quick replay could sort all this out.

Just don't remember it happening in our favour

Referee's, like anyone else, earn their respect. Just because they wear the badge doesn't mean they get automatic gratification from me.

If they decide they want to do a shoite job and _fuck up a game that badly then I will slate them as much as I bloody like. They deserve anything they get for that performance.

For all fairness, they do only have a second to make a decision.

Okay, let's give them credit. It's hard doing their job. So they get a decision wrong. Felli was onside. They're told about it during the game on the mic.

What do they do when they are unsure about the second goal? They have to give it. They've been to harsh and denied a goal, so when another situation that requires their decision comes along, they have to give it. They have to right their wrongs.

they have to call it as they see it. I'm fuming, but my son plays school boy soccer, and this is what he is told all along. Right or wrong the ref is right. Cant wait for technology to come in, wrongs will be less (much less), but for now we have myopia linesmen

If they can't see the onside or the goal then they have bad eyesight and should not be linesmen.

With the offside goal, even the commentators thought it was offside but changed their mind with the replay. Refs get one view with one chance to make a decision making it an almost impossible job so I'll forgive them for the disallowed goals because it can't be helped. It's just more evidence that goal line technology is needed now as it's cost us big time.

I went to a meeting at Goodison with the fans forum and that streak of s@@t called Mike Riley was going on about the high percentage that they get right, well you lanky get I suppose you will say they got 95% right tonight but the 5% they got wrong cost us two goals, Referees should earn respect by explaining their decisions after the game not hiding behind the FA who havent exactly covered themselves in glory this week.

There was somat wrong with that assistan referee, the ref gave a free kick for a blatant push on Anichebe that was right in his sight about 6yds away, he didnt give it, the ref did. If he cant see 6 yds away he was never going to call the offside or the ball over the line right was he.......

The refs have said before that they want to explain their decisions but aren't allowed by the FA in case it reduces their authority. We know why today's weren't given so it's not an issue now.

I am trying not to use the "why always us" phrase after tonight's poor refereeing display but 3 disallowed goals showed how much of an attacking threat we where and although we didn't perhaps perform as well in the second half I thought we done enough overall to get all 3 points today.

In a season with 380 games overall mistakes will be made as referees are only human after all but for a team of officials to perform so badly in one game really should not go unpunished and in some-ways although I am disappointed in the result the fact that it has cost us 2 points will further highlight the poor refereeing decisions more so than had we of won.

I don't want to bring up the "goal line technology" argument as it has been mentioned plenty of times over the past decade every time these errors in judgement occur and nothing has changed. I personally believe that this has to happen in a world cup final or league deciding game for it to be addressed properly.

At the end of the day poor decisions are made and ultimately teams have been wrongly relegated in the past through wrong decisions such as a certain Bolton goal against Everton which was wrongly not given and ultimately seen them relegated that season.

Referees should go unnoticed in games but now I always check who the referee is before our games as the likes of clattenburg, atkinson............... are a bunch of W@NKERS

My point was that there is no point in getting them to explain why the goals weren't given because we know why...he thought it was offside and he thought it didn't cross the line. Yes it's cost us 2 points but other mistakes have cost us in the game such as Pienaar not passing to Osman before the end of the 1st half, Mirallas being to ball greedy, Howard's keeping for the first goal, Osman giving the ball away for the first goal.

It's not the explanation of what happen's it's the lack of empathy and the fact they never acknowledge or apologise for their mistakes. And we can't say **** for fear of persecution from the FA. It's a **** dictatorship!!

I think most refs and linesman are half decent. But its next to impossible for a human to get everything right. Footballs too high stakes now that they do need assistance.

What's the plan for fixing this? The commentor on espn said something about goal line technology coming soon. When is this supposed to take place? Can they atleast add a goal line judge like in the world cup? I was furious about these goals being called off. There has to be something they (fifa?) can do.
