    Is anyone getting one?

I'm not overly impressed tbh, but as an Apple fanboy i probably will. £300+ for my 4S on eBay and i'll top up the rest.

NSNO most things by HTC are mint and the Galaxy s III is also a really good bit of electronic equipment but the battery life is poor when you use the internet and gaming.

Haven't had an iphone yet Deus but i am out of a contract next month so if you wouldn't mind letting me know how it works out for you i'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Will do. Looking at the specs it doesn't look that much better the my 4S tbh.
I've had an HTC Desire HD previously and absolutely loved it. I left it on the train and even though there were newer and better phones out there at that point, i just wanted it back so bought the exact same phone. I do like HTC.
A few of the guys i work with have the Samsung G2 & 3 and they're really good too. You can throw a hat over all the top end phones these days. I have far too much invested in Apple to switch now though.

As for phones to avoid. I'd have said avoid Nokia but their new phone on Win8 actually looks OK. Although i'll never go back to Nokia after the way they treated their customers when they were on top. The amount of money i spent fixing things on my N-Series phones when they'd JUST passed warranty!

Go to a shop, and try them out. See which you prefer, then decide what you are got g to use it for. Then decide. Ignore anyone else's recommendations, as many tend to be phone fanboys of various sorts.

Grindr is some nasty ****. One of the receptionists at work uses it and gets laid as and when. Is there a straight version?  :-"

Main problem with the iphone is the weak glass screen. If you drop it will more than likely break and apple will charge 140 quid for a new one and if you try and get the screen replaced you void the apple warranty as I've just found out. Had mine 3 months and apart from how well it syncs up with my macbook pro. Very much doubt the screen issue with be any different from the 4s.

That's not 'necessarily' true mate. If you own other Apple products or have been a long time customer, and you're polite about it, Apple are usually very good. I've not had to do it myself but i know a few people that have and received a free fix in store. Customer service doesn't get much better than Apple, especially after purchase.

I've had the latest phone since around 95 and never had any trouble. I'm not even remotely careful where i use it.

Dont like these big 4" phones. Never been into these smartphones but bought the Sony Xperia minis which are fast with good camera and you can discreetly carry them around.

Black & Slate iPhone ordered, i wanted a white one again but i'm not so sure the aluminium back will stay as pristine as glass. Now i just need EE to sort out 4G and i'm sorted for another year. Total and utter waste of money but i cannot wait.  B-)
