Am i the only one thinking that if Jelly gets injured we are buggered up front?

I cant understand why DM didnt get someone in to cover and yet bought his Oviedo dude

Think mirallis was bought as a player who could cover a number of positions including up front.

Mirallas, Naismith are two other forwards we bought his summer. We still have Gueye, Vellios and Anichebe, that are all getting more mature.

i dont think the former are recognised as out n out strikers. this is my point.  As for the latter, i wouldnt rest my Europe ambitions on those 3

We can't have two complete proven strikers (Like Utd do with VP and Rooney) as we can't afford it. We have Vic who is probably the backup.

i didnt say proven. and we do have money left from the Rodwell deal. i know he tried to get Nyang in but he isnt first team material yet.  also, jelly is gonna need a rest at some stage, so i hope it doesnt coe back to haunt us. i just feel it might. feel free to call me a pessimist

As much as I hate to say it, I'm glad we kept Vic, got 4 goals from the bench last season with three of them salvaging at least a point each.

He's never gonna set the world alight, but he's good to have around for a last gasp equaliser/winning goal

No he didnt, he came on the pitch and thats about it. Fellaini was the man in that game as he was at goodison this season

Nah just having some fun, but he did allow Fellaini to basically play upfront he sat and moved the ball around he put hibbo in to set up Fellaini to start the come back

we are screwed.  anichebe - not good enough.  vellios - not good enough plus can't play the lone striker role.  naismith - decent but is more of a support striker than a main striker.

the only option really is to put mirallas up there but then that weakens are right hand side
