The documents and findings that are due to come out this week, it would be nice, for the sake of everyone involved, if people finally get some closure.

Why do i get the feeling though, that whatever comes out, it will still rumble on?

Of course it will as Liverpool supporters still don't accept their own part in the tragedy, yes the police chiefs in charge of the game_fucked up by opening the gate , then tried to cover up, and then smear the Liverpool supporters with 'the truth' garbage that ended up in that paper I wont name.

The facts are 1000's of their own support rushed into an open gate as their greed and chance of a free entry to a  football game for nothing mentality won over common sense. Yes the person who made the decision to open the gates accountable but so are each and every kopite with or without a ticket who piled into that already overfilled end.

The 96 who died , died for nothing and both sides can pass the blame all they like at the end of the day both are accountable.

Its exactly how i see it myself mate. Its a shame that whatever comes out this week, people still wont find any sort of closure, EVEN if the finger of blame is pointed solely at south yorkshire police.

I'm with you on this tone
R.I.P the 96 who died and some questions do need answering but some supporters played their part on that terrible day.

Think its ridiculous to blame the fans.
Outside the ground ticket in hand, FA Cup Semi Final just minutes away from kick off and a policeman opens an access gate, you'd be stupid not to go in.

Ultimately it ended in disaster, but the police allowed them to enter so I can't see a reason to blame Liverpool fans.

    Just my opinion like

If you think this was the case mate you obviously don't know your history. If their was ONLY people at the ground that actually had a ticket there would never have been a problem to start with.

There is people alive today having their dinner right now who forced their way into the ground that day and caused the deaths yet they get away with it because the blame is being pointed elsewhere.

I know not everyone had a ticket, but there was supposed to be police in place to direct fans away from the centre pens.

My point was that it's wrong to place the blame on fans who were permitted to enter.

Let's just say for example that everyone did have a ticket, if they all headed towards the centre then there still would give been a problem (maybe not as bad as it turned out).

Nobody is blaming the fans mate.

It was an accumulation of factors that led to it happening and there was not one single person alone to blame. It was part this, part that and part the other.
