In all fairness, like a few people have pointed out, N'Zonzi and Essien were the first choices and NO ONE had heard of this lad until about 10.49 on transfer deadline day so i dont think we have missed out on much....

just to add bit of paranoia to this..my first thought about it was that no organisation or team would have had reason to object to this happening so only thing FIFA should be ruling on is whether it sets a precedent that will lead to unfairness or teams bending the rules, and do they honestly believe teams will leave it so late that they will miss risking the deadline just to take advantage of this precedent. its definitely biased and a richer club would have got away with it. the other thing to consider is that he was bought to cover for an injury like Gibsons. would it have been less of an issue if that injury hadnt occurred...and very importantly if they clearly have broken a rule that is too important to overlook then why wasnt this a pretty immediate ruling and given Everton time to look at a free agent who may have been able to cover till January. A week on and all decent players will have found clubs.

So we put most of the effort into signing a rubbish player Nzonzi and in turn buggered up the Vadis Ofoe deal. A player that looks like he could of been awesome for us and in a position that now genuinely needs filling.

Dissapointing news - looks like a good player although an attitude problem as think Hamburg let him go. He says he changed but if hes that good why now let out on loan.

Still need centr emid cover - may be blessing as I prefer Fellaini in middle - put Naysmith behind Jelevic.

Still hope the deal happens as loan - always send back like that **** Drenthe - fingers crossed

If only we could swap all of Bills mistakes for a premierleague title we would be most successfull by now.

Yes, Brugges messed up the paperwork!

Some will take any opportunity that arises to have a dig but are very reluctant to give credit where it's due. It's possible to be both critical, gracious AND creditable, simultaneously.

I'd believe him too. Did HE also state that WE messed up the paperwork? Who first stated it btw?

And what point does repeatedly stating the postal story make? That a CEO didn't know every single detail of the company he runs! Go to any CEO of any company out there and see how many know who deals with the post. It's a menial task that in general, CEO's don't deal with. And do they make mistakes? Of course not, like everyone else, they're perfect. But it's always good to have an mistake to mock them for.

I wouldn't expect a CEO to know where the post dept. was, no.
