Posts: 30August 2012 Breaking news here is that Liverpool based Everton FC may be about to pull off the audacious transfer of Fulham Midfielder Clint Dempsey from under the noses of city rivals Liverpool FC.
The pugnacious Dempsey (29) has been the subject of transfer speculation throughout the summer break, and has been left out of the Fulham squad for several weeks amid rumour that Liverpool FC were about to make a bid.
However, it transpires that no Liverpool FC bid has materialized and Everton FC boss David Moyes has been alerted to Dempsey’s situation and Liverpool FC’s need to sell players before being able to buy. Moyes is known for his skill at transfer brinkmanship and it is thought that a very late bid in the region of £6m (€7.5m) may be enough to secure the American’s services who we believe would not be adverse to the move.
The addition of Clint Dempsey to an Everton FC squad which has a rich history in recruiting US Nationals would be a major coup for the club and sound a loud message across the city of Liverpool…..

Posts: 21August 2012 As an American who's followed Clint since he played at Furman University, I really hope this happens. First, I think he'd fit in our team well. Second, it would really boost our clubs visibility in the US, and that can't be bad for our current financial situation.I know there's a snowballs chance in hell of it actually happening, but while I breathe I hope.
