Team against Leyton Orient

    Should we be looking at the cup as a serious chance of silverware and play a really strong team or should we keep our most important players fresh for wba on the weekend. I think we should try a bit of both have a good crack as this competition whilst concentrating on the league.

    Team i'd play
    Howard
    Hibbert ( if fit ) heitinga jags garbutt
    Gibson
    Coleman Silva Gueye
    Mirallas
    Vellios

    Bench - Mucha Neville Baines Barkley Pienaar Felliani Jelavic

    Hopefully play a team something like this with a few big guns on the bench if needed

    surely barkley will have to get game time in the league cup, would like to see what he can do

    thats why i've got him on bench if we we r 1 or 2 up after 55-60 mins give him 30 mins. He played for our reserves today and they lost 5-1 and he played 90 mins so I think a 30 min cameo is all he will get or moyes would of left him out of reserves. That said garbutt and vellios played 90 mins as well so I guess we'll have to see

    Absolute Tosh..put the best team available out,we,ve been dumped out of too many cups adopting "fringe players need game time" approach.Liverpool done it last year and now we have a team that can go all the way in this cup.Put the strongest team out in every round.

    i agree with biglouie, play our strongest side, got a much better chance winning the league cup than the premiership. much rather win something and finish 6th to 8th in league.

    Mirallas, Gibson, Fellaini, Barkley, Pienaar
    Jelavic

    If Hibbert isn't fit then I'd go for Coleman and possibly Gueye for Pienaar.

    If we can only beat Leyton Orient using our best players then we shouldn't even bother with the cup. Also the tin pot cup is wank_it's only good for a route into Europe

    I never have and never will care about the League Cup. It was the Milk Cup when I was a kid and it was a nothing trophy even then. It's a fraction of a step up from the JP Trophy.

    A trophy is a trophy so we should play our strongest team available or at least have our best players available on the bench to bring on if need be. The league cup isn't as big as the FA Cup, but it will be our best chance of winning something this season, and if we went for it then we could easily win it in my opinion.
