Don't they realise that they are paid footballers and this is their job?

Surely if someone refuses to do their job, they shouldn't get paid anything!

    Isn't that common sense like?

if you think about it there are loads of footballers who haven't played as "there head had gone" whilst talk of a move was on the cards, mind you sometimes it's better they don't get asked to play, Lescott had that nightmare against Arsenal but at least there was offers on the table for him Dempsey is just throwing his toys out

No one here would want Dempsey?  As an American, I sure hope he doesn't go to Liverpool because I like him.  I'd love to see him in blue.  :)

I blame the rs... What they have done is publicly tap him up... They should have been fined months ago when they "accidently" announced they'd agreed a fee...

I love/dislike Dempsey...on one hand he's a relatively good footballer and an American which is good for the sport in the sense that he brings attention to soccer over here in the States.
On the other hand, I dislike his attitude and feel he is slightly overrated in his ability. Not to mention the fact he looks a bit mental. I think he could snap at any moment.

i think the fact that liverpool are going for clint dempsey shows how far liverpool have fell behind the other teams..would the reds have gone in for him a few seasons ago?..no chance..and thats not taking anything away from dempsey who i think is a very good player!!

Liverpool haven't even made a bid for Dempsey yet, and if they don't come in for him before the window closes this would really backfire on Dempsey.

Yeah, I'll agree with that, he is an entertaining player to watch,
especially during the last World Cup. His style of play is a bit
unpredictable in the sense that he can get himself where he needs to be
    to score.
