Only time you'll ever see anything like that in your country! Could be a bit enthusiastic about it like!
Anyway, hoping Katie Taylor makes history for Ireland... some woman! Also hoping Grainne Murphy and the rest of athletes from my county and college do Ireland proud. No doubt we'll have the best fans there supporting our athletes just like the Euros.

I've only watched about an hour of  the opening ceremony so far, but I think it has been fantastic! The Queen jumping out of the helicopter was a bit much, but all in good fun.

Best of luck to all the athletes, including Michigan's own Jordyn Weiber in ladies gymnastics.

Funnily enough I'll be watching most of the Olympics from America. Heading off to San Francisco on Monday and travelling around the States for 4 weeks.

Have fun and enjoy yourself Pearse! You can catch a lot of the action on the NBC channels while over here.

Cool thanks! 14 of us are road trippin it mostly around California and Nevada, then spending a few days in New York before heading home. Missed the end of last season and now will miss the start of this year but I hear Premier League coverage is class over there so I will try to catch most the matches in between traveling!

Can't beat a good road trip! Very Cool!
Yeah, you can watch a lot of games...as long as you don't mind getting up early. LOL Sometimes the games come on here at 7:30 am so if you're in Cali and it's live, that would be 4:30 am. :-)

I'm very anti-Royals but I have to give kudos to the Queen for taking part in that sketch. How Danny Boyle managed to get her to take part I don't know! Pity she looked bored when the Britain team were coming out, picking her nails. Mardy old moo!
