I can't believe we sold 3 strikers and have only Saha as the only decent striker we have now. We needed strikers last season, so what do we do , oh yeah sell 3 of them.
I'm not looking forward to the season ahead whatsoever now

When Saha is injured we will be in trouble if we have to rely on Anichebe..Worrying times

I think selling Beckford was a strange one, but to be fair the Yak was not going to play regularly here by Moyes. Hopefully Saha can stay fit and maybe this loan signing will do well, but I agree Anichebe is not the answer.

To be fair to Denis, I haven't seen too many of Mikky's recent performances for EFC that would have been good enough for a trial at most clubs. Mikky was costing us £75k every week so I'd be very disappointed if Denis doesn't give better value for money than that! Every player has bad patches, but Mikky's lasted much too long for me.

I think every player should be given a chance to show what they can do, sadly Victor is one who has had too many chances without delivering - but he's still on the payroll!

Mikky has gone, so it's time for others to step up to the plate. This year Vellios should have more opportunities than Victor to show what he can do - he's certainly been more impressive when he's played and deserves more game time!
Sadly, the more Victor plays without improving, the less likely we are to sell him in January.

I'm still upbeat about the season ahead - things could be a lot better, but they could also be a lot worse! COYB

My dear some sense of perspective

Some of the best strikers we've seen, have had trials for clubs and been rejected. Give the lad a chance.

A throw away line in the Guardian and it's taken as gospel ... I heard that it was Stracq who turned Sven down as he wasn't impressed with Leicester , he wanted to play in the Prem and he knew Everton were interested

When was the trial?? How old was Denis then?? I can't find anything on a trial at Leicester. Here is a strange idea no one will agree with.......give him a chance and see for yourselves how good/bad he is then you can comment!!!!!!!!
P****s me off when players get slaged off by 'so called fans' before they have even kicked a ball in the royal blue jersey

I think if these new signings hit the ground running there will be lots of skill in midfeild triangles from left to right pace from drenthe and coleman accurate crosses from baines and a target man up front solid at centre back a good pair of hands in goal lets see im feeling a lot more positive than i was a week ago...

Howdy, Stranger!
